Testing dates – brief description:
Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) March 6 through June 9. Students in 3rd grade through 5th grade only, are assessed using Chrome Books and are tested on grade level Common Core Standards in both English Language Arts and Math.
Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT)
Given in March to second graders only. Test is designed to identify gifted students in the High Achievement category. Physical Fitness Test. Test is administered only to fifth grade students. Students are tested in 6 areas and is an indicator of overall health.
California English Language Development Test (CELDT)
Starting in 2017-18, the test will be given, primarily to TK and kinder students, within the first 30 days of the new school year, as an initial indicator of English proficiency.
This test is an indicator or basic early literacy skills and is given three times during the school year, beginning, middle and end. It is administered to TK through 5th grade, with the skills tested varying by grade level.
